After breakfast, we go to the morning game drive in the park. Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most breathtakingly impressive sights to behold in Africa. Eighteen kilometers in diameter, the crater is a caldera formed at a time of volcanic eruption, and now home to an abundance of wildlife. Whether standing on the lip or driving through the grassy-plains inside, Ngorongoro Crater is magnificent from any angle.
After breakfast, we shall depart for Lake Manyara National Park (330 sq km or 127 sq mile’s) on the base of the Great Rift Valley, for the morning game drives. Lake Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks.
The park is home to Lion, Hippo, Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboon, Blue and Vervet monkey, Warthog and more…About 350 species of birds have been recorded. This small park contains also five distinct vegetation zones. Thus supporting a large variety of birds and animals. The Manyara National park is also famous for its large flocks of flamingos. After the game drive you will drive back to Kilimanjaro international Airport with lunch en route arriving in the evening.
