Safari transport is by off-road 4×4 vehicle (not minivan) ensuring a more comfortable journey and superior game viewing. Spend the first night in the vibrant city of Nairobi then travel to Samburu for 2 nights followed by Lake Nakuru for 2 nights. Continue to the Masai Mara for 2 nights before flying to the coast for time to relax on the beautiful white sands of the Kenya coast. Choose from a wide variety of water sports and other beach side activities, or simply settle in under the shade of the swaying palms and let the cool gentle sea breeze help you relax even more.

    1. Day 1: Drive to Samburu National Park

      After breakfast, we depart Nairobi by 4×4 safari vehicle (with an expert guide) and head north to Samburu National Reserve – checking in to Samburu Shaba Lodge where we will spend 2 nights (Full Board basis). Lunch will be served en route or at the camp. This exclusive camp has a lovely setting within the Reserve, on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River surrounded by doum palms and other indigenous trees and shrubs. After an afternoon/early evening game drive, we will stop for drinks at a scenic point to watch the sun go down over the African wilderness.

    2. Day 3 and 4: Samburu National Reserve

      This morning, we wake early for a morning game drive to explore Samburu National Reserve on the lookout for elephants and big cats as well as the unusual animals for which Samburu is noted for, such as the endangered Grevy’s Zebra and the Reticulated Giraffe. Breakfast and lunch* will be served at the camp. In the afternoon, we take another game drive in this beautiful landscape.

    3. Day 4: Samburu - Lake Nakuru

      After breakfast, we set off towards the stunning scenery of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. Check in to Mbweha Safari Camp for 2 nights (Full Board basis). Mbweha is a high-quality safari camp set on the private 6400-acre Congreve Conservancy near the southern border of Lake Nakuru National Park and has spectacular views of the surrounding mountainous landscape. We then take an escorted nature walk from Mbweha for a close-up view of the local flora and fauna. Lunch, dinner, and overnight at camp.

    4. Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park

      Early breakfast at Mbweha Safari Camp and then set off with a picnic lunch for a full day to explore the Lake Nakuru National Park, which is famous for the spectacular pink flamingos that gather on its salt-encrusted shores as well as other bird species, including African fish eagles and pelicans. The woodland and grassland surrounding the soda lake are home to an abundance of wildlife including black rhino, white rhino, hippo, leopard, lion, and the rare Rothschild giraffe. Dinner and overnight at Mbweha Safari Camp.

    5. Day 6: Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara National Reserve

      Maasai Mara National Reserve

      After an early breakfast, we continue our safari by heading to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, arriving at Mara Maisha Luxury Mara Camp for lunch where we will stay for 2 nights (Full Board). Mara Maisha Luxury Mara Camp has 40 luxury riverfront tents located on the banks of the Talek River and overlooking the iconic Mara plains. After lunch, there will be a game drive for the first chance to see the wildlife of the Mara. Dinner and overnight at camp.

    6. Day 7: Maasai Mara National Reserve

      A full day with morning and afternoon game drives in the Maasai Mara in search of the big cats for which the Mara is renowned. We will also see a wide variety of Kenya’s other species – great and small – such as elephants, buffalo, giraffe, and much more. Lunch*, dinner, and overnight at: Mara Maisha Luxury Mara Camp

    7. Day 8: Drive back to Nairobi and Flight to Mombasa

      At the break of dawn, you embark on your concluding game drive in the Mara followed by a relaxed breakfast and onward departure for Nairobi. Arrive Nairobi by early afternoon [ typically by 2.30pm]. Drop off at the airport to catch your Mombasa Flight by 6 pm.

      Pride Inn Flamingo Beach Resort & Spa is set amongst landscaped gardens with tropical palm trees and a lagoon-shaped swimming pool. Offering 2 restaurants and 4 bars, this resort is located directly on the beach overlooking Mombasa Marine Park. All of the very spacious rooms feature a balcony with a choice of Indian Ocean, pool or garden views. They are stylishly furnished with mosquito nets surrounding luxury bed linens and each has a flat-screen TV.

      Palm Restaurant has themed buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Blue Lagoon includes a diverse à la carte menu overlooking the pool. There are light snacks and beverages throughout the various bars, some with Indian Ocean views.

      All rooms have balconies; upgraded rooms add living areas. Room service is available 24/7. A variety of appetizing meals are served in our restaurant. Amenities include a landscaped lagoon-style pool, a spa and a gym, as well as 2 relaxed bars. Mombasa’s center and Fort Jesus are a 20-minute drive away. An airport shuttle is available for Moi International Airport, 25 km away.

    8. Day 9 Mombasa Beach Holidays

      The Island and surrounds of Mombasa offer varied touring attractions, from 16th century built Fort Jesus, the Kibokoni old town, dinner cruise on the Tamarind Dhow, deep sea fishing to snorkeling, diving at Kisite and Mombasa Marine Parks and much more. Among the attractions available here are:-

      1. Deep Sea Fishing in Mombasa – Sitting in the fighting chair during a deep sea fishing excursion in Kenya is an exhilarating experience! Even if you are a seasoned angler, the thrill of reeling in a giant is almost unimaginable, and Mombasa being the prime spot for such deep sea excursions.

      2. Wasini Island Dhow Tour – Wasini-Kisite Marine Dhow Safari helped establish the protected status of the area that is now within the boundaries of Kisite Marine Park, Kenya’s best and secluded sealife park

      3. Pilli Pipa Marine Tour – Enjoy a splendid day tour to Kisite Marine Park on a Pilli Pipa Dhow Safari. Since 1989, the small family-owned operation has been providing visitors with more than just a boat ride to the park.

      4. Snorkeling and Scuba Diving at the Kenya Coast – These activities provide you with excellent opportunities to explore the Indian Ocean depths and one of the top three dive sites on earth is found here Feel free to undertake Reef dives, night dives and wreck dives for a wonderful scuba diving experience.

      5. Tamarind Dhow Dinner Cruise – Traditionally used for trade on the Indian Ocean, the Arab dhow has been a long-standing presence on the East African coastal waters, and now you can enjoy an evening of sailing, dining and romantically dancing along the coastline aboard one of these historic sailing vessels.

      6. Gede Ruins Tour – Since 1884 when Gede Ruins was first visited by Sir John Kirk, the site has been recognized for its archaeological value and today it is one of the most highly studied relics on the Kenyan Coast. The ruins were first noted as a Historical Monument in 1927.

    9. Day 12 Depature

      Wake up to the sound of gentle waves and the slight breeze swaying palm trees one last time. Relax and rejuvenate for the morning, before departing in the afternoon for your flight back to Nairobi, which leaves Diani at 16:00 PM and arrives at Wilson Airport at 17:30 PM. Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with our driver and vehicle. Depending on the time of your international flight, stop at the Talisman or Carnivore restaurant for dinner.
