7 Days Lewa Wildlife Conservancy Tour Vacations Package

7 Days Lewa Wildlife Conservancy Tour Vacations Package is a great safari for families and honeymooners. The 7 Days Lewa Wildlife Conservancy Tour Vacations Package starts and ends in Nairobi and available throughout the year. Our 7 Days Lewa Wildlife Conservancy Tour Vacations Package is a perfect choice for people who are wildlife loves and privacy. Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya is an award-winning model for community conservation. It is a great stronghold for endangered Black Rhino and they offer a variety of alternative safari activities.

Lewa Downs has been an exclusive safari destination for many years, but was made famous when Britain’s Prince William proposed to Catherine Middleton there in 2010. It is considered to be one of the greatest conservation success stories in the world and is a model for sustainable tourism. During your 7 Days Lewa Wildlife Conservancy Tour Vacations Package at the Lewa Wildlife Refuge, we were able to see a lot of animals, including several rhinos, zebras and reticulated giraffes. The conservation group is working hard to help local communities and animals. There are three rules for watching animals, and the game drive never interferes with animals. The roads in the area are in good condition.

The game viewing is fantastic and you will head out in one of the conservancies with specially adapted safari vehicles in the company of an experienced ranger and tracker in search of wildlife including the Big Five. One of the attractions is the number of endangered Black and White Rhino that can be found in the Conservancy, as well as rare animals such as Grevy’s Zebra and the Reticulated Giraffe.

One of the greatest attractions of the Lewa Conservancy is that it allows you the freedom to do different safari activities such as going on bush walks accompanied by local guides who will help you interpret the secrets of the bush. If you are looking for a more relaxing time, then spend some times in one of the hides overlooking the waterhole. The lodges also offer optional activities such as Horseback safaris and even safaris on Camel back.

Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

You can also visit the Ngare Ndare Forest Reserve and seek Black and White Columbus Monkeys as well as many species of birds. The Conservancy is actively involved in the community and guests are actively encouraged to participate in conservation and community projects. These are often a great way to immerse yourself in local culture and learn about life in Africa.

In your next safari, the perfect choice is Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, home to the entire endangered black rhino population, white rhino, and the big 5. It’s located to the north of Mount Kenya and south of Isiolo. Lewa is a sanctuary for diverse wildlife array and hosts a myriad of game species in the plains. The construction of an elephant corridor alleviating pressure between the migrating pachyderms and humans is among the great cutting edge projects in the conservancy. The corridor extends from Mt. Kenya through Lewa and out to the Samburu region.

Game Drive on the back of a horse

At Lewa Wilderness, guests can choose beyond the normal safari transport options and opt to see the conservancy from a different view – on the back of a horse or even on the back of a camel! Just two minutes walk from the lodge, the Lewa Wilderness stables are home to over 30 horses and ponies. Many of the guest horses are home bred, whilst others are retired polo ponies. The horses are well accustomed to the wildlife as, during the day, they enjoy free range grazing alongside animals such as zebra, giraffe, impala, eland and baboons. Many of the horses are used to carrying complete beginners enabling even first time riders to enjoy the unique experience of riding in the African bush. Riding one of the Lewa Wilderness horses allows you to enjoy the wildlife in its most natural form, without the sound of a car engine or the sight of a road – it’s truly quite a privilege.

The family has been welcoming guests since 1972, and visitors now enjoy a luxurious stay in nine beautifully appointed cottages, all with fireplaces and private verandas. Guests are invited to relax in the sitting room or on the veranda of the adjacent main house that is still the residence of Will and Emma Craig, who often join guests for tea. Play billiards or table tennis, borrow a book from the library, or cool off in the infinity pool during the heat of the day. Meals are shared around a banquet table on the open-air dining terrace.
