    1. Day 01: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru

      Drive to Lake Nakuru, briefly stop at Limuru ponds for waders, terns, coots, ducks, teals and herons. Check in at Chester Hotel for lunch before proceeding to Lake Nakuru National Park.

      Birdwatching Lake Nakuru National Park

      Lake Nakuru National Park (Ramsar Site) boost up to 450 species bird checklist, a record of 1,496,000 waterbirds record. Five globally threatened species have been recorded here, namely Madagascar Pond-Heron, Lesser Flamingo, Pallid Harrier, Greater Spotted Eagle, Grey-crested Helmet-shrike along with large congregations of Greater Flamingo, Black-necked Grebe, Little Grebe, Great White Pelican, Yellow-billed Stork, African Spoonbill, Black-winged Stilt, Grey-headed Gull and Gull-billed Tern.

      The lake is internationally famous for its healthy populations of the globally threatened Lesser Flamingo, numbers can reach 1.5 million at times, though drastic and unpredictable fluctuations occur. Undoubtedly Nakuru is a very important feeding site for this species; attempts by flamingos to breed here have not been successful.

    2. Day 02: Lake Nakuru - Lake Baringo

      Lake Baringo is a real birding heaven that never fails to impress birders for its easily seen birds. Around the compounds of the Lake Baringo Club and Robert’s Camp one can easily pocket around 120 species within a period 12 hours. Lake Baringo has approximately 480 species on its list and it was once home to the renown Field Guide Lead ornithologist and author of BIRDS OF EAST AFRICA guide book Terry Stevenson.

      Early morning walks around the compound, for greenbuls, warblers, sunbirds, Bush and Tree Pipit and more. After breakfast drive to Kerio Valley, pass by Marula Swamp, Chebonet Dam, Kerio view point for Common Moorhen, Lesser Jacana, ducks, Boran Cisticola.

      Dinner & Overnight stay: Soy Safari Club

    3. Day 03: Lake Baringo Conservation Area

      Early morning boat ride for shoreline birding and the islands for Senegal Thicknee plus Africa Fish Eagle feeding photography (if necessary), Saddle-billed Stork, Whistling Duck and more. After Lunch drive to West Bay for Black-headed Lapwing, Black-headed Gonolek plus others. Dinner & Overnight stay: Soy Safari Club

    4. Day 04: Baringo – Lake Naivasha

      Early morning walks along the cliffs for raptors, hornbills and chats. After breakfast depart to Lake Naivasha, stopping on the way for other specialties.

      The fascinating bird life of over 350 species is supported by the availability of dense vegetation at the lake edge. Papyrus fringes the main lake’s shore and cloaks the inlets of the Gilgil and Malewa rivers. There is large floating, wind-driven rafts of the exotic water-hyacinth Eichhornia crassipes, usually concentrated in the south-west sector. Submerged macrophytes sometimes occur in large beds, mainly in the shallow eastern part, but these vary greatly in extent.

      The lake itself supports a diverse waterbird community, with more than 80 species regularly recorded during censuses. Many species of duck and Palearctic waders occur in numbers; Palearctic ducks are especially abundant in November and February. The lake is known for its high density of African Fish Eagles which nest in the surrounding Acacia woodland. Regionally threatened species include Podiceps cristatus, Oxyura maccoa, Anhinga rufa, Casmerodius albus, Ephippiorhynchus senegalensis, Thalassornis leuconotus, Porzana pusilla, Rynchops flavirostris, and the Phalacrocorax carbo. Globally threatened species include Grey-crested Helmeted-shrike, Basra Reed Warbler, Lesser Flamingo, along with large congregations of Red-knobbed Coot, African Spoonbill, and Little Grebe.

    5. Day 5: Lake Naivasha

      Early morning walks in Naivasha (the compound and the lake shore). After breakfast depart for Nairobi Nairobi, lunch at carnivore restaurant before dropping you at the airport to catch your flight back home.
