    2. Day 2: Drive from Nairobi to Amboseli Park

Breakfast at your hotel. Drive to the Amboseli National Park (240 KM/approximately 4 hours) for your stay at the Kibo Safari camp. This afternoon we enjoy our first game drive, across the game rich plains of one of East Africa’s most prolific wildlife areas. Lying within sight of the imposing shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro in neighboring Tanzania, the expansive plains and infinite skies of Amboseli present us with a landscape that is truly African.

Home to the proudly independent Masai, its dry savannas thunder beneath the onslaught of the vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, impala and the elephants for which it is famed. Panoramas filled with lush swamp and acacia forests provide ideal havens for myriad birds and small mammals, including bee-eaters, kingfishers, caracals and warthogs, whilst cheetahs, lion and hyena hunt the open grasslands. Overnight: AA Amboseli Safari camp.

    3. Day 3: Safari Activities in Amboseli Park

Our morning and afternoon game drives see us in search of a staggering array of wilderness experiences, from the magnificent herds of game that sweep across these dusty plains, to the majestic sight of some of the 700 or so elephants for which Amboseli is justly famous. We may even be lucky enough to perhaps encounter the rare black rhino.  Overnight: AA Safari camp.

    4. Day 4: Amboseli – Lake Manyara National Park

Day 4 of Kenya and Tanzania group tour starts with an early breakfast at the camp then drive into Tanzania via the Namanga border. We also pass through Arusha to Lake Manyara National park with lunch en route. Regardless of the direction we approach Manyara from, the view is always fantastic.

Lake Manyara is a shallow, alkaline lake that is part of the Rift Valley wall; the lake is at the base of this dramatic western escarpment giving it a beautiful and serene setting. In addition to this peaceful setting, Lake Manyara’s main attractions are its rich bird life, tree-climbing lions, and its hippos, which you can see at a closer range than many other places.

Lake Manyara also hosts thousands of flamingos at certain times of the year and has diverse vegetation ranging from Savannah, to marshes and acacia woodland, so it enables a variety of wildlife habitats including butterflies.

      • Main Destination: Lake Manyara National Park (Tanzania)
      • Accommodation: Manyara wildlife safari camp or similar
      • Lunch & dinner
      • Drinking Water (Other Drinks not Included)
    5. Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park- Ngorongoro - Serengeti National Park

Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its geological magnificence but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s largest populations of large mammals. After game drive to central Serengeti at Osinon Serengeti Camp for your overnight stay.

    6. Day 6: Serengeti National Park

The day will be spent exploring the grassy plains and woodlands in the area, tracking the massed herds of wildebeest and zebra, witnessing the birth of new calves and trailing predators such as lion, cheetah and hyena on the hunt.

The area also teems with other wildlife, including elephants, eland, various gazelle species, Kirk’s dik-dik, giraffe and the elusive leopard. Serengeti is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometres of protected area that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara National reserve.

It is the Migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back. The Wildebeest travel through a variety of parks, reserves and protected areas and through a variety of habitat. Join us to explore the different forms of vegetation and landscapes of the Serengeti ecosystem and meet some of their most fascinating inhabitants. Dinner and overnight at Osinon Tented camp.

    7. Day 7: Road Transfer to Masai Mara from Serengeti

This is the traditional land of the Masai people, nomadic herders who choose a traditional lifestyle and who are permitted to graze their cattle in the area.  A proud and largely aloof tribe who have held on to their customs and traditions for hundreds of years.

The park’s habitats include the forests along the banks of the Mara and Talek Rivers, acacia forests and open Savannah. Dinner and overnight at Mara Base Camp.
