Arrival at JKIA Airport Nairobi. You will be received by our safari representative and transferred to your hotel for your overnight. Once at the Hotel our photography director will brief you on your Kenya safari. Overnight is at the Sarova Panafric Hotel, Nairobi. ABOUT THE SAROVA PANAFRIC HOTEL: The Sarova Panafric is a 5 minutes’ drive from the CBD and 18 km from the JKIA, amidst beautifully landscaped gardens in the quiet suburb of Nairobi.
It offers 162 rooms in a range of Superior, Executive, Club, Studio and Themed Suites – all recently refurbished and decorated in a contemporary vibrant African style. Once the watering hole for freedom fighters, spies and foreign correspondents, the Flame Tree Restaurant is named after the Flame Tree that sits aesthetically in the gardens and offers leisurely meals.
You will be met by our photography director for a pre safari brief after breakfast. Transfer to the Wilson Airport for your flight to Samburu National reserve with scenic aerial sightings enroute. On arrival at Samburu, you will be ushered to your hotel by our ground team with a thrilling game drive enroute to Samburu Larsens Camp. Early evening game drive starts at 1600Hrs returning to your lodge at approximately 1830 hrs for dinner and overnight at the Samburu Larsens Camp.
ABOUT THE CAMP: Larsens Camp is named after Erik Ole Larsen, a legendary Dane credited with defining the luxury safari under canvas. It is bordered by the Uaso Nyiro River with a lot to enjoy in the pristine nature. The camp offers exquisite luxury for an all-inclusive stay in its 20 tents.
Early morning wakeup call at 0530 hrs gets you ready for early morning breakfast before venturing out in search of the big cats and other game species. We return to our lodge for full breakfast at 0900 hrs. The rest of the morning and the afternoon is at leisure. Early evening game drive starts at 1600Hrs returning to your lodge at approximately 1845 hrs.
The Samburu Reserve is one of the most visited national parks with plenty of wildlife ranging from the rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk to the Beisa Oryx (also known as the Samburu Special Five). Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Larsens Camp.
After breakfast, you will be driven to the Oryx Airstrip at 0800 hrs for your morning flight to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy the scenic aerial sighting enroute, arriving at the Mara in time for lunch and an afternoon rest. Venture out for your early evening game drive in search of the big cats and other game species at 1600 hrs. Return to the Mara Crossings Camp for dinner and overnight.

ABOUT THE CAMP: Mara Crossings Camp is an eco-friendly luxury tented camp uniquely located on the banks of the world-famous Mara River. It lies among indigenous shrubs right at the river’s edge. A wild, yet intimate experience in the thick of the resident game it is the perfect vantage point for the wildebeest migration. Animal trails meander between the 8 spacious, ensuite safari tents disappearing into the nearby bush. The camp is ideally located in the Musiara region-famous for the teeming wildebeest and the carnivorous predators. Its close proximity to the wildebeest spectacle makes it even more popular with photographers.
Full day is at the Mara exploring the magnificent ecosystem on game drives. The day’s program will depend on the wildlife sighting, migration patterns and the prevailing weather conditions. Your Wakeup call is at 0500 hrs to freshen up for an early morning breakfast at the lounge. Depart the camp at 0600 hrs for your early morning game drive in search of wildlife with a mid-morning bush picnic breakfast at 1000 hrs. Continue with the game drive headed back to the camp. Make it to the camp at 1130 hrs to rest and have lunch. Early afternoon free is at leisure. Enjoy tea/coffee at 1500 hrs and depart for your evening game drive at 1545 Hrs. Dinner and overnight is at the Mara Crossings Camp.
Your last day at the Maasai Mara starts with an early morning out photographing the wildlife. Depart fthe camp at 0630 returning at 0900 Hrs for breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. Lunch is at the Hotel Karen Blixen Tamambo upon arrival in Nairobi. You will have time to refresh and repackage in your reserved day room. Transfer to the JKIA (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport) in the early evening for your flight back. The 10 Days Northern Kenya Wildlife Photography Safari Ends.
