13 Days Africa Predators Photographic Safari Package

Today, you will awaken in a magical new world with the smell of fresh Tanzanian coffee brewing and the calls of exotic birds. We will meet at breakfast for a safari briefing before hopping into our Land Cruisers and heading out for the breathtaking Serengeti conservation area. Our luxury-tented camp will be strategically placed for all the action, out in the wild, with no fences. There is no better way to experience Africa than by living it and spending a few nights under canvas, camping in the heart of the wild, listening to the sounds of lions roaring, zebras barking, and hyenas calling as you gently fall asleep. Once we are settled we will head out on our first game drive.

Our days will start with hot coffee or tea, delivered to your tent before the sun rises.   As the cool, fresh air fills your lungs you’ll feel invigorated and rejuvenated, ready for a great day on safari. Roll down the windows or stand up through the customized roof hatch and enjoy the unhindered 360 views, and the possibilities for what lies ahead as we venture onto the Great Plains to experience one of the last remaining mammal migrations in the world. We will take a packed breakfast with us so that we will not have to leave any of the predator action to be back in camp before breakfast is over. Our afternoon game drive usually ends with us rolling into camp after the sun has set. We will enjoy a famous sundowner around the campfire, before our delicious dinner, while exchanging the exciting wildlife encounters of that day.

After our morning game drive and breakfast, we continue to the central Serengeti. We divide our time between two locations in the Serengeti to ensure the best access to the large herds, diversity of wildlife, and amazing animal landscape opportunities. Since the movement of the massive herds depends on the weather patterns, if it is wet, the largest herds are generally in the south but closer to the central area if it is dry. We also want to take advantage of the central Serengeti’s legendary landscape with its vast plains, flat-topped (umbrella) acacia trees, and islands of kopjes. Afternoon game drive

Our goal in this area is to capture the wildlife on and around these stunning gigantic rock formations that rise from the plains and provide shade, nutrition, and water and the most breathtaking photographic backgrounds.

After our morning game drive and breakfast, we will board our private charter to the renowned Massai Mara in Kenya. Our eco-friendly camp lies between multiple overlapping predator territories and is positioned to blend unobtrusively into the surrounding vegetation, with an authentic safari feel of a time when Hemmingway would have been a guest.

The vast, open plains are home to a large pride of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, black rhino, hippos, Maasai giraffes, common zebras, gnu, impala, Thompson’s and grant’s gazelles, topi, hartebeest, black-backed jackals, spotted hyenas and more. It is the best reserve for the big cats, where the BBC filmed Big Cat Diaries and where they continue to film regularly.

Our days will start with hot coffee or tea, delivered to your tent before the sun rises. Over the next 3 days, we will photograph an abundance of wildlife with a focus on the big cats and predators the Mara has become famous for.

We will have one last morning game drive, followed by a hardy breakfast, before boarding our private charter to Nairobi. Our ground team will transport you to the four points conveniently located at the airport, where dayrooms have been provided so you can enjoy a leisurely afternoon around the pool, have a message a good meal, and clean up before your international flight home
